33 Priceless Classic Cars Have Been Confirmed
It was announced by Paul Goldsmith, president of Tokyo Concours d’Elegance, Elite Corporation, that it is confirmed that 33 cars will participate in Japan’s 1st classic car Concours d’Elegance, called “Tokyo Concours d’Elegance”
Concours cars will be divided into four classes according to manufactured age groups and be inspected and judged by a team of judges: “Vintage” for cars manufactured during 1900 - 1930, “Classic” for cars manufactured during 1931-1945, “Post-war Classic” for cars manufactured during 1946-1960, and “Modern Classic” for cars manufactured during1961 and 1975. Class award will be presented for the best three cars in each class as well as “Best of Show” the highest prize of the event, “The Best Preserved Car,” and many more.
On the eve of the 1st day of the event, October 25th, there will be a Parade Run by 15 Concours cars through central Tokyo, which will offer a spectacular sight for everyone along the route. To celebrate the opening of the event, a starting ceremony is being planned at the start point. The course, start time, and the names of the guests will be announced in the near future.
Other events being planned during Tokyo Concours d’Elegance will be a Joe Honda Photography Workshop by the world-famous motor sports photographer Joe Honda; a Stamp Rally for which participants can receive Tokyo Concours d’Elegance original goods; Public Voting for the best Concours carsbased on visitors’ opinions.
