C5 1949 - Maserati A6-1500 Coupe by Pininfarina
The A6-1500 first appeared at Geneva Motor-show in 1947, and was the first Grand Turismo designed also as a road going model by Maserati, which had been producing genuine racing cars since its foundation. It is the car with the Maserati brothers' final designed engine of straight 6 SOHC and Pininfarina's elegant coupe/ cabriolet body, a very luxurious grand turismo of the time. Straight six standard power unit produces 65ps despite its single carburetor system. It was a high performance GT which left glorious records in many races such as Mille Miglia.
