At the first Tokyo Concours d'Elegance, the one-off Lamborghini 350 GTV was displayed. That car was the prototype of Lamborghini's first production model 350 GT. The 400 GT 2+2 shown here is the powered-enhanced model of the 350 GT, featuring the larger 4 litre engine with 2+2 body. The design was created by Carrozzeria Touring which included various unique features that added extra sophistication over its ancestor. Often compared against each other, the big difference between Ferrari and Lamborghini is that the founder of the latter, Ferruccio Lamborghini, never had the intention of having his cars raced. Lamborghini cars were designed to be driven on the road only. The 400 GT 2+2 is one of the company's early models made from 1966 to 1968 with a total of 260 leaving the factory.
