During the vintage era, Frazer Nash was popular, with a wild ride image, stemming from the whining note from its chain driven system. During the post vintage era of the 1930s, the company had a production-license agreement with BMW. This fact is not known by many, but one of the most popular early BMW, the 328, was produced in England by Frazer Nash. The BMW 328 and Frazer Nash BMW 328 competed in numerous races and left great impressions with spectators. The car we have here was owned by David Murray who was the founder of the famous racing team of Ecurie Eccosse. The team won at Le Mans and achieved many great results at Brooklands and other big races.
