The 300S series is one of the most luxurious postwar cars produced by Mercedes-Benz. While the 300 limousine "Adenauer" was a smaller version of the prewar 770K, the luxurious saloon/limousine 300S was the revival of the prewar 500K/540K. A small number of vehicles were made for a handful of wealthy customers, such as aristocracy and Hollywood celebrities. It was offered in three types of bodies; Coupe, Roadster and Cabriolet - like the entry on display. The quality of the craftsmanship is particularly extraordinary even when compared to the other Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes-Benz has always been a cutting-edge automobile manufacturer. This wonderful machine was the last of an era of handmade craftsmanship.
