A7 1930: Duesenberg Model J Convertible-Roadster by Murphy

Duesenberg was America's super luxury car, famous for being the Hollywood celebrities' favorite, adored by stars such as Gary Cooper and Clark Gable. The wonderful road car in this show used to belong to the Rockefeller Family. The Model J was just as luxurious as other well-known super cars. In addition to its elegance, it had a racing car engine, a straight 8-valve DOHC 6.9 litre that offered the advanced driver the highest driving performance of its time. Coachbuilders in America and Europe gave this symbol of American dreams, known affectionately as "Doosie", many gorgeous bodies. This 2-seater, convertible roadster was made by North American Murphy. It was one of the most common bodies chosen by the manufacturer. However, so few Duesenbergs were made that every Doosie is a very rare beauty.
