Dear friends and fellow enthusiasts

lt gives me great pleasure to bring to life a dream to hold Japan's first classic car Concours d'Elegance. We have chosen a fabulous venue in the heart of Tokyo to hold the eyent, Tokyo Midtown. With plenty of grass and parkland it provides a wonderful backdrop for a gathering of very special vintage cars, many of which have never been seen in public before in Japan.
I am delighted to welcome very special, elegant cars from throughout Japan for this first event and thank all entrants for Joining us. I would also like to thank our panel of esteemed judges and our sponsors who had the courage and vision to support us.
Our plan is for the Tokyo Concours d'Elegance to be an annual affair attracting the most elegant classic cars from Japan, neighboring Asian Countries and other parts of the world.
A Concours d'Elegance is an opportunity to look back at our heritage and reflect on how we interpret that today in the cars we drive and the luxury products we use. In a world of ever changing values there is comfort and pleasure in seeing how the elegance of the past is still relevant today and how we can strengthen our current views on life based on the philosophy of the past.
So enjoy Tokyo Concours d'Elegance, the cars, the atmosphere, the wonderful people, the stories behind many of the cars on display and the contrast of old and new as we mix classic cars with Tokyo's newest venue.
